Officer Bradley DiMartino received a Letter of Commendation for his professionalism in handling a potentially dangerous situation on May 16, 2004. Due to his actions the situation was resolved peacefully.


Evans Police Dispatchers took 2,242 complaints for the month of May 2004.

  • Seventeen prisoners were held in the Town of Evans Police Lockup in May 2004.

  • Eighty-seven Police Reports were filed and nineteen accidents were reported to State of New York as reportable accidents under the Vehicle and Traffic Law.

  • Evans Police Officers issued 267 simplified traffic informations in May of 2004 including:

    Speeding 91
    Seatbelt 55
    DWI Related 11
    License/Permit Violations 26
    Red Lights 9
    Required MV Equipment 16
    Vehicle Registration Violations 16
    Stop Sign 5
    Other 38

    Detective Bureau

  • Twenty-nine people were arrested, mostly for violations of the New York State Penal Law, Alcohol Beverage Control Law and Vehicle and Traffic Law. Eight people were arrested for DWI.

    Dog Control

    Sixteen appearance tickets were issued from the Dog Control Office.
