Commendations

Letters of Commendation were sent to Officers O’Donnell, Mayer, Fioretti, Smith and Lieutenant Danzi for an outstanding performance on August 24, 2004 in which they apprehended two suspects to solve a series of larcenies in the Derby South Subdivision.

Letter of Recognition went out to Patrolman Michael Masullo for an arrest made on March 13, 2004 for pursuing a suspicious character pushing a bike through a yard which led to an arrest of criminal possession of stolen property, disorderly conduct and fighting/violent behavior.

Letter of Recognition went out to Patrolman Bruce Green Sr. for assistance rendered at the scene of a serious personal injury accident while off duty.

Monthly Report – December 2003

Commendations

Officer Ralph Maslach received a letter of commendation for professionalism in responding to a welfare check call on December 10 where he was greeted by a woman pointing a hand gun at him. Officer Maslach was able to disarm the woman without anyone being injured.

Grants

The Evans Police Department received a total of $7,638.50 in reimbursement from a Federal Grant for the purchase/replacement of bulletproof vests. The funds represent 50% reimbursement for the purchase of 25 ABA-Xtreme Series vests.
