Auto Theft Prevention Program

The Evans Police Department offers participation in an Auto Theft Prevention Program. To participate, the registrant of a vehicle must complete a consent form available through the Police Department.

An Evans Police Officer will then personally affix the auto theft prevention sticker to the lower left corner of the vehicles rear window that will identify a motor vehicle not normally operated between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. By signing a consent form, a registrant gives permission for any police officer to stop the vehicle if it is being driven by anyone between 1:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m.
