Dog Control Office

Since July 1, 2009, the Evans Police Department’s Dog Control Officers have taken over the duties that were previously handled by the Erie County S.P.C.A. All questions regarding missing dogs should be directed to the Evans Police Department.

The faster we have the information, the quicker we can reunite the dog and owner. The Town of Evans Police Department has entered into contracts with local kennels and veterinarians to assist us with the housing and care of the animals.

We are asking all dog owners to please license your dog and put a collar on the dog which identifies the owner. Please have an identifying chip placed in your animal

We are going to place pictures on our web site of the dogs that we cannot find the owners. We will do everything we can to reunite the dog with the owner- time is of the essence. At some point a determination will have to be made on what to do with the dog and we want a happy ending not a sad ending.

For further information contact the Police Department.
