Officer Jeff Mayer was the Evans Police Department recipient of the Erie County Stop DWI award at the Annual Erie County STOP-DWI Awards Breakfast on April.
Commendations
Patrolmen Jeff Mayer and Lieutenant Detective DeJohn received a letter of commendation on April 17th, 2006, for outstanding performance in solving car larcenies in Derby.

- Eighteen prisoners were held in the Town of Evans Police Lockup in April 2006.
- Ninety-nine Police Reports were filed and fourteen accidents were reported to State of New York as reportable accidents under the Vehicle and Traffic Law.

Detective Bureau
Thirty-nine people were arrested, mostly for violations of the New York State Penal Law, Alcohol Beverage Control Law and Vehicle and Traffic Law. Six people were arrested for DWI.
