Officer Jeff Mayer was the Evans Police Department recipient of the Erie County Stop DWI award at the Annual Erie County STOP-DWI Awards Breakfast on April.

Commendations

Patrolmen Jeff Mayer and Lieutenant Detective DeJohn received a letter of commendation on April 17th, 2006, for outstanding performance in solving car larcenies in Derby.

  • Eighteen prisoners were held in the Town of Evans Police Lockup in April 2006.
  • Ninety-nine Police Reports were filed and fourteen accidents were reported to State of New York as reportable accidents under the Vehicle and Traffic Law.

Detective Bureau

Thirty-nine people were arrested, mostly for violations of the New York State Penal Law, Alcohol Beverage Control Law and Vehicle and Traffic Law. Six people were arrested for DWI.

Dog Control

Twenty-seven appearance tickets were issued from the Dog Control Office.
