Awards
Officer Jeff Mayer was the Evans Police Department recipient of the Erie County Stop DWI Award at the Eighteenth Annual Erie County STOP-DWI Awards Breakfast on April 24, 2009.
Commendations
Lt. Mike Masullo received a letter of commendation for securing grant money and developing policy and procedures for the implementation of a court security system.
Personnel
Robert Gonez and Nicholas Blasz were appointed as part-time police officers at the April 1, 2009 Town Board Meeting.

Evans Police Dispatchers took 2,526 complaints for the month of April 2009.

- Nineteen prisoners were held in the Town of Evans Police lockup in April 2009.
- One hundred and thirty-seven police reports were filed and 15 accidents were reported to State of New York as reportable accidents under the Vehicle and Traffic Law.
- Evans Police Officers issued 153 simplified traffic informations and five parking tickets in April of 2008 including:

Detective Bureau
Forty-six people were arrested, mostly for violations of the New York State Penal Law, Alcohol Beverage Control Law and Vehicle and Traffic Law. There was one arrest for DWI in April.

Eight appearance tickets were issued from the Dog Control office.
