Commendations
Lt. Mike Masullo and Detective Brad DiMartino received a letter of Commendation on December 17, 2008 for outstanding performance during the investigation of a hit and run auto accident where two pedestrians were struck on Bennett Road.
Personnel
Ptlm. Joseph LaRosa was appointed to the position of full-time Police Officer at the December 17, 2008 Town Board meeting.
Dispatch
Evans Police Dispatchers took 2,472 complaints for the month of December 2008. 2008 was a record year for complaints/calls for service with a total of 32,432 records.

- Eleven prisoners were held in the Town of Evans Police lockup in December 2008.
- Ninety-six police reports were filed and thirty-eight accidents were reported to State of New York as reportable accidents under the Vehicle and Traffic Law.
- Evans Police Officers issued twenty-nine simplified traffic informations and nine parking tickets in December of 2008 including:

Detective Bureau
Twenty-four people were arrested, mostly for violations of the New York State Penal Law, Alcohol Beverage Control Law and Vehicle and Traffic Law. Two people were arrested for DWI.

One appearance ticket was issued from the Dog Control office.
