Monthly Report – December 2011
The Town of Evans Police Dispatch center is in the final stages of a $200,000 upgrade including a new radio system, furniture and flooring. Grant money procured and administered through the efforts of the Lake Erie Beach Fire Company funded the major improvements.
The creation of the Evans Police Honor Guard was completed in December. The Honor Guard is comprised of volunteer officers who will represent the department at special events.
Personnel
Frederick Garrasi III was appointed Part-time Police Officer at the December 14, 2011 Town Board meeting.
Dennis Feldmann retired from the position of Police Officer effective January 1, 2012.

Evans Police Dispatchers took 2,295 complaints for the month of December 2011.

- Sixteen prisoners were held in the Town of Evans Police lockup in December 2011.
- One-hundred and twenty-eight police reports were filed and 30 accidents were reported to State of New York as reportable accidents under the Vehicle and Traffic Law.
- Evans Police Officers issued 151 simplified traffic informations and nine parking tickets in December of 2011 including:

Detective Bureau
Forty people were arrested, mostly for violations of the New York State Penal Law, Alcohol Beverage Control Law and Vehicle and Traffic Law. There were two arrests for DWI in December.
Dog Control
Six appearance tickets were issued from the Dog Control office.
