Douglas J. Czora was promoted to Chief of Police effective December 10, 2016.

Evans Police Dispatchers took 2,147 complaint calls, 143 of which were for Helmuth Fire Control, for the month of December 2016.

  • Eight prisoners were held in the Town of Evans Police lockup in December 2016.
  • One hundred and thirty police reports were filed and 25 accidents were reported to State of New York as reportable accidents under the Vehicle and Traffic Law.
  • Evans Police Officers issued 156 simplified traffic informations and 6 parking tickets in December of 2016 including:

Detective Bureau

Forty people were arrested, mostly for violations of the New York State Penal Law, Alcohol Beverage Control Law and Vehicle and Traffic Law. There was 1 DWI arrest in December 2016.
