Assistant Chief of Police Stephen J. Slowinski retired from the Evans Police Department on January 3, 2008, after 44 years of dedicated service to the Town of Evans.
Commendations
Patrolman Mike Kauzala and Patrolman Scott DeJohn received a letter of commendation for outstanding performance in solving a series of car larcenies that occurred January 2, 2008.

- Twenty prisoners were held in the Town of Evans Police Lockup in January 2008.
- One-hundred police reports were filed and twenty-six accidents were reported to State of New York as reportable accidents under the Vehicle and Traffic Law.

Detective Bureau
Forty-nine people were arrested, mostly for violations of the New York State Penal Law, Alcohol Beverage Control Law and Vehicle and Traffic Law. Five people were arrested for DWI.
