Personnel

Assistant Chief of Police Stephen J. Slowinski retired from the Evans Police Department on January 3, 2008, after 44 years of dedicated service to the Town of Evans.

Commendations

Patrolman Mike Kauzala and Patrolman Scott DeJohn received a letter of commendation for outstanding performance in solving a series of car larcenies that occurred January 2, 2008.

Evans Police Dispatchers took 2,570 complaints for the month of January 2008.

  • Twenty prisoners were held in the Town of Evans Police Lockup in January 2008.
  • One-hundred police reports were filed and twenty-six accidents were reported to State of New York as reportable accidents under the Vehicle and Traffic Law.
  • Evans Police Officers issued one-hundred and thirty-three simplified traffic informations in January of 2008 including:

Detective Bureau

Forty-nine people were arrested, mostly for violations of the New York State Penal Law, Alcohol Beverage Control Law and Vehicle and Traffic Law. Five people were arrested for DWI.

Dog Control

Twelve appearance tickets were issued from the Dog Control Office.
