Eighteen prisoners were held in the Town of Evans Police Lockup in November 1998.Ninety-two Police Reports were filed and 34 accidents were reported to the State of New York as reportable accidents under the Vehicle and Traffic Law.Evans Police Officers issued 252 simplified traffic informations in November of 1998 including:

Detective Bureau
The Detective Bureau investigated four house burglaries, one in the Derby area and three in the Point Breeze area. Two of the burglary investigations resulted in an arrest. The suspect charged in the Derby burglary is presently incarcerated in Norfolk, VA, for other matters. A 16 year old subject was charged in connection with a burglary in the Point Breeze area. That arrest is a result of keen observation and dedication to duty by Patrolman Dennis Feldmann.

Twenty-seven people were arrested, mostly for violations of the New York State Penal Law and Vehicle and Traffic Law. Eight of the 27 people were arrested for DWI.
Dog Control
Twenty-four appearance tickets were issued from the Dog Control Office.
