Monthly Report – November 2005

Commendations

Dispatcher Patrick Garrigan received a letter of commendation for his outstanding efforts on November 2, 2005, which contributed to the successful investigation leading to an arrest for unlawfully growing marijuana and marijuana possession.

Dog Control Officer Michael Franey received a letter of commendation for taking action above and beyond the call of duty at a personal injury accident by assisting victims and passing motorists, and preserving the scene for police and EMS personnel on November 4, 2005.

Officers Tracey O’Donnell, Jeffrey Mayer, and Peter Smith received letters of commendation for their outstanding investigative actions on November 11, 2005, in responding to a prowler call at which time two suspects were arrested.

Dispatcher Debbie Dalton received a letter of commendation for outstanding performance which directly contributed to the arrest of two subjects on a robbery on November 22, 2005.

Officers Michael Masullo and Ralph Maslach received letters of commendation for outstanding performance on November 23, 2005, which lead to an arrest for criminal possession of a weapon and drug possession.

  • Fourteen prisoners were held in the Town of Evans Police Lockup in November 2005.
  • Seventy-nine Police Reports were filed and thirty-seven accidents were reported to State of New York as reportable accidents under the Vehicle and Traffic Law.
  • Evans Police Officers issued 97 simplified traffic informations in November of 2005 including:

Detective Bureau

Thirty-two people were arrested, mostly for violations of the New York State Penal Law, Alcohol Beverage Control Law and Vehicle and Traffic Law. Seven people were arrested for DWI.

Dog Control

Twenty-six appearance tickets were issued from the Dog Control Office.
