Evans Police Dispatchers took 2,100 complaints for the month of October 2003.

Radar Sign

A portable radar sign was placed throughout the town during the month of October to bring vehicle driving speeds to the attention of operators. During October, the sign was placed on:

  • Sweetland Road
  • Route 5
  • Evans Town Hall and in Derby
  • Beach Road @ High School

  • Fifteen prisoners were held in the Town of Evans Police Lockup in October 2003.
  • Seventy-nine Police Reports were filed and twenty-nine accidents were reported to State of New York as reportable accidents under the Vehicle and Traffic Law.
  • Evans Police Officers issued 147 simplified traffic informations in October of 2003 including:

Detective Bureau

Twenty-seven people were arrested, mostly for violations of the New York State Penal Law, Alcohol Beverage Control Law and Vehicle and Traffic Law. Four people were arrested for DWI.

Dog Control

Twenty-one appearance tickets were issued from the Dog Control Office.
