Monthly Report – September 2001
The Evans Police Department underwent its’ third Accreditation Audit in September. The Department was originally New York State Accredited in December 1991, and was reaccredited in December 1996. Reaccreditation audits take place every five years. Passing this audit will provide reaccreditation status until December 2006.

Evans Police Dispatchers took 1,260 complaints for the month of September 2001.

- Sixteen prisoners were held in the Town of Evans Police Lockup in September 2001.
- One hundred and twenty-eight Police Reports were filed and thirteen accidents were reported to the State of New York as reportable accidents under the Vehicle and Traffic Law.

Detective Bureau
Forty-one people were arrested, mostly for violations of the New York State Penal Law, Alcohol Beverage Control Law and Vehicle and Traffic Law. Six people were arrested for DWI.
Dog Control
Twenty-two appearance tickets were issued from the Dog Control Office.
