Due to the coordinated response of all personnel, this incident ended without injury to anyone.

Patrolman Daniel Eppolito received a letter of commendation on July 27th, 2006, for outstanding performance in his efforts to negotiate and communicate with an individual threatening to inflict physical harm upon himself. The subject was safely transported for treatment.

Patrolmen Douglas CzoraMichael MasulloBruce Green Jr., and Lieutenant Charles Danzi received a letter of commendation on July 28th, 2006, for outstanding performance in the water rescue off of Bennett Beach. The operation was successful when all victims were safety returned to shore.
